Lockdown has been a very strange time for us all but more so for Young Carers. Some Young Carers go to school and see it as their respite but with schools being affected they have had to adapt to the new normal.
Three of our sibling Young Carers decided to learn how to cross stitch and have become very talented at it. During lockdown they gave themselves a challenge and created cross stitch bookmarks.(Photo below)
Our respite activities have had to be put on hold due to Covid but that won't stop us from connecting with our Young Carers and supporting them to build new skills. Below is some pictures of one of our Young Carers joining in on a virtual activity called "Cook-a-Long".
We have also been lucky enough to put some smiles on some Young Carers faces by gifting them with a laptop to help them keep connected during these difficult times, thanks to Carers Trust for the funding. (Photos below)
